Grand Canyon South Rim Day Tour From Vegas

Grand  Canyon had been in my bucket list  for quite some time since I got here in the US. I waited for the right time to go because I just didn’t want to go there without my husband. Any new place, discovery, adventure shared with him is more awesome than anything else anyway.

Originally, we planned on making a separate trip for the Grand Canyon. But when we learned that we are actually going to Vegas for my sister-in-law’s bday, we checked if we could go to Grand Canyon as well on a day tour. And since we could, so that’s exactly what we did.

Based on my own research, on which rim of the Canyon is more convenient, more beautiful, more photo opportunities, most of the answers I got favored the South Rim. I found a day tour bus company through Viator, it’s called Grand Canyon National Park Bus Tour. It’s super affordable for $77.99 per person which includes, snacks, lunch buffet and park entrance fee. We all think what a great deal it was! Plus our bus driver was very knowledgable and friendly.

We were picked up at our hotel in Las Vegas, the Bally’s at 6:20 in the morning and at 7:10 the bus was already heading out of Las Vegas to our first stop which was the Hoover dam. We stayed there for about 15-20 minutes and the bus headed off immediately to the next rest stop. We had our lunch at Williams, Arizona where we ate at an Italian Buffet courtesy of the bus tour company. It was awesome! In fact even better than some buffets in Las Vegas. We continued on the trip and it took us about an hour and a half to get to the Grand Canyon from Williams. We stayed at the Grand Canyon for 2 hours, more than enough to marvel the beauty of the South Rim.

The beauty of the Grand Canyon feels surreal. Some might say, it’s just a big hole and lots of different land formations in the middle of it, but to me, Grand Canyon lived up to its name of being Grand. It reminds you of just how small you are in the world. As far as your eyes could see, there’s the Grand Canyon, marvelous, huge, beautiful!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and let me know how’s your experience at the Grand Canyon.

Love,

Rhea
