Hello fabulous people! Today was supposed to be a vintage day tour at the old town Salado, Texas with a good friend of mine but we ended up not going. However I had already prepared my outfit and I was thinking I would still want to go by myself but husband came from work and didn’t want me to go there alone which was great for me of course I love hanging out with the husband and if he would go with me it means I will have plenty of pictures for my outfit. Yayyy!
Putting this outfit together made me beamed with excitement. This cutie pie MSSP dress gave me a wide smile the moment I laid eyes on it. I was wowed by its print and its bright yellow color. It’s so vintage looking, fun and vibrant. I knew I gotta have it. But I am sure I didn’t want to wear it by itself. So I did some color blocking. I wanted to tone down the brightness by putting this long stone color cardigan I got from Cato which is perfect for the vibe of the dress and a deep brown slingback mary janes with classic clog heels and an old deep brown sling purse which I had sewn yellow flowers on the front flap to match with the color of the dress. I wanted to add another statement piece by wearing this hat since I am not going to wear any other accessories but decided not to because the hat looks so summery. So I put my hair on a chinese bun instead.
However, instead of going around downtown Salado, we went straight to Austin. We ate lunch and then headed downtown to take some pictures of course. And we always ended up lurking around the capitol. Why not? The capitol is pretty though so I don’t mind going back there again and again.
And that’s it for this post. I hope you guys like this color blocking idea. Tell me what you think, I love reading and answering some comments and questions below.
