Wearing a gingham outfit can probably be intimidating to some depending on how much they hate stripes or checked fabrics. Like I always believe, stripes can actually make or break you. But there is always something so captivating to me about a gingham fabric, it seems vintage at all times, simple yet extravagant.
So let me brag a little bit about this one shoulder ruffled bell arm gingham top. I designed and sew it myself. Yes, because I love gingham! I saw this fabric at the Hobby Lobby store and I grabbed it right away and had a design in my head. Initially, I was thinking of making a full dress using this fabric. But I ended up making a top because I have this fuschia color pants I thrifted which I knew would be a good pair.
We celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary in Austin, just a simple lunch, a little shopping at the Domain Austin and strolling and the outfit is perfect for such a beautiful day. I paired it with my blush Jessica Simpson heels that I got from Dillards and a blush sling purse.
You don’t have to overdue accessories or your hair with a gingham outfit. It speaks for itself. I am pretty sure if you rock a gingham outfit, you will literally turn heads.
