Dallas is only a little over 2 hours from where we live, and yet, the only times I went there was a few times when I flew at DFW or twice I went to see the Dallas Arboretum and had a quick check of the downtown. The reason why my husband doesn’t want to drive there is the traffic of course which I understand because I saw it. I never had so much interest in seeing Dallas, it’s the first city I laid my eyes on when I arrived in Texas the first time. I flew from Manila to Los Angeles(LAX) to Dallas(DFW) and my first impression when I had a chance to see the downtown in the morning was that, it looks like the downtown Makati in the Philippines. The high rise buildings, the hotels and the other businesses and of course the heavy traffic. But, I am an incurable flower romantic girl. I search for places where there are plenty of pretty flowers, like arboretums or botanical gardens or even parks. And Dallas has one. A pretty and huge arboretum for that matter.
Both times we went there was in the month of May, the flowers were still pretty and already in full bloom but I would love to go there again this year in the beginning of spring. I promise I will take gorgeous pictures. So be sure to come back and check it here in my blog. See yah then.
